Art Portfolio

Through my sustained investigation, I wanted to explore the influences of my community and how different environments developed a connection to my heritage. I delved into this topic by uncovering symbolic memories in my life and its relationship to Vietnamese culture.

 

By referencing past experiences, I illustrate how language, traditions, and people impacted my journey of discovering personal identity. I used an assortment of photos, sketches, and written notes to document the processes of my portfolio while incorporating collage aspects to synthesize my ideas. I experimented with a range of media and color palettes to represent various emotions, and intentionally utilized specific materials to visually express deeper meaning.
